Orlando Tourist Information – The Visitor Center will be glad to send you a welcome to the area package that will be of great assistance in planning your itinerary. In the packet you’ll receive plenty of great maps, brochures on the various attractions in the city and lots of other great information about Orlando. But there is great value in calling into one of the Tourist Offices during your visit. If you have even a few minutes it is worth getting some maps and information leaflets and phamplets and especially to find out about special events during your visit.

You can also stop in the tourist center when you first arrive in Orlando and get the information that way, too. You’ll be able to ask them questions about the best restaurants and hotels in the city. They live and work in the area so they know all the great places to go. They will also know if there are any special events planned in the city when you’re visiting. What a great place to stop in. You’ll be glad you did.

Weather
The summers in Orlando are hot with temperatures reaching to 90 degrees. Take plenty of summer time gear. It is also very humid so you’ll want to pack your clothing accordingly. Be sure to note that from July to October there can be hurricanes so pay attention to the weather warnings and listen to them. It is better to be safe than sorry if you are asked to evacuate and do so according to the orders that are given.

In the winters it can be in the 50’s so during that time you’ll want to take heavier clothing. The evenings can get very cool so take along a jacket for any night time activities.
